I want to go home. Actually, it’s not that specific. I just want to leave this fucking house, before there’s not a single corner of my brain that Archer doesn’t fucking own. Before I’ve forgotten that I’m Danny, that I’m an adult, and that I can look after myself. Before I’ve forgotten that I’m more than some good, obedient little boy for his Daddy to praise, or censure, or fuck. Danny, not Daniel. Nobody ever called me Daniel before Archer.
Archer has a security system. Of course he does. I’ve seen the lights blinking in the foyer, and yesterday a delivery van got buzzed through from the front gate. But that doesn’t mean I can’t get out a window and scale the fence, right? Because when the alarm sounds they’ll be looking for intruders, not escapees.
A twinge of guilt stirs my guts, but so what? So what if Clyde gets kneecapped? So what if they put a fucking bullet in his head? He never gave a damn about me, so why should I care what happens to him?
Because Archer’s already fucked you. Already shared you. Already ruined you. If you run now, all of that will be for nothing. The best payback you can get is forcing him to honor his agreement, isn’t it?
I don’t fucking know anymore. Whatever happens, I’ve already lost, haven’t I? Won’t get my dignity back, will I?
I’m pretty sure I lost the last of that tonight, when I whimpered and begged Archer not to put the cage back on my cock. He ignored my pleas, of course. Ignored them, turned me over, and shoved a narrow plug up my ass to really drive the point home that he owns me.
The icing on the cake? Having my wrists cuffed to the bed so I can’t remove the plug overnight.
So that escape plan is pretty much moot anyway, right? For tonight, at least. But maybe tomorrow… A sigh of relief shudders out of me. A part of me is almost glad the decision has been taken away, because what if I ran and they caught me? Or what if they really did kill Clyde? I mean, I tell myself I don’t give a fuck about him anymore, but I suspect it’s not exactly true. I suspect that if you get your father killed because you couldn’t go through with the agreement to pay his debt, that it’s the kind of thing that will come back and haunt you later in life. From the bottom of a bottle of whiskey, probably.
Because Clyde was never all bad. People are never all bad. Except maybe Archer. And James is a smug self-satisfied sadistic little toadie who makes me want to choke the life out of him. But most people aren’t all bad. Just because I remember the time that Clyde busted the door I was trying to hold, and then went to play on the poker machines when I was getting stitches, doesn’t mean I don’t remember other times as well. When he picked me up early from school and we went and bought ice cream.
